Tactical Baton Training in Tampa

Tactical Baton Training in TampaThe ASP Basic Certification (ABC) is a 7-hour, hands-on seminar which trains participants in the operational use of the ASP Tactical Baton. The program is simple to learn and easy to understand. It provides effective defensive impact weapon tactics for law enforcement and private security personnel, as well as responsible civilians without long hours of training. The techniques were designed to work effectively for all users, male and female, large and small, fit as well as those in less-than-peak physical condition.
The program provides portation (carrying) and presentation (drawing) procedures as well as striking techniques. These tactics are quickly learned, easily practiced and readily maintained long after the program is completed.
The ASP Tactical Baton is designed to be used as an impact weapon, not a come-along device. There are no complicated holds or complex moves.
The impact weapon techniques in all ASP Tactical Baton programs are designed to meet three standards of training:

  • The techniques work on the street, not just in the classroom.
  • The techniques are court defensible and are backed by the nation’s most experienced use-of-force consultants.
  • The program is administratively feasible for use in a contemporary private security or law enforcement agency.

Class Length:   2.5 hours classroom, 4.5 hours training and drills.

Motorcade Training in Tampa / Clearwater  May 18-19

In the bodyguard/executive/close protection industry, it’s pretty likely your client will not be taking public transportation. Given that fact, how do you plan the motorcade operation? The route selection, route security, primary and secondary route evaluations and more?
motorcade training in Tampa
It’s all answered in the ESS Global Corporation intensive 2 day Motorcade Training in Tampa.
A motorcade is simply how to properly move a client from one location to another, and the proper training makes a very big difference.
A motorcade is designed not only for the protection of your client but also to ensure the smoothness and comfort of his or her travels.  This course is good for complementing other Executive Protection training courses that did not include training on motorcade operations, or for people who are already working in the Executive Protection industry but were never properly trained in motorcade operations or tactics.

A driver who is well skilled in defensive and evasive driving techniques can save lives.

Often an attack may occur while driving, and a driver who remains calm but acts quickly and decisively can keep his or her client out of harm’s way.  This course is designed to teach you how to not only provide smooth transportation for a VIP, but also what to do in the event there is an attack on your VIP while you are driving.
Executive Protection Training in RaleighThis motorcade training in Tampa will cover the following:

  • Vehicle Searches
  • Embus and Debus Drills

Executive protection training in Cleawater - ESS GlobalOur three (3) day D.O.A Approved Executive Protection School will provide you with the basic knowledge and techniques commonly used by the Secret Service, State Police, Highway Patrols, VIP and Dignitary Protection Units responsible for protecting politicians and other domestic and foreign dignitaries around the world. Our ESS Global Executive Protection Training is designed for career veterans as a refresher, or beginners in the world of close protection. This D.O.A. Certified Executive Protection Training gives you a strong start in the security industry covering city, county and state government organizations, corporate security services, security agencies and private individuals.
executive protection or bodyguard? - executive protection!
ESS Global Corp, maintains an Executive Protection School that is currently the only state licensed Executive Protection School through the Florida Department of Education – and one of only a very few nationwide – and is also in the process of becoming Post 9/11 GI Bill approved by the Department of Veteran Affairs. UPDATE 12-15-16 ESS is VA Approved to accept GI Benefits.
Also, if you have been looking online for Executive Protection Training, it’s important to note that in the close protection/ executive protection industry, there is no “license”, there is no state testing, and their are no state boards in most every state. Consequently, in nearly every state, Executive Protection Training is usually lumped into the same category as Security Guards or Private Investigation Services and has very little to do with either one of those industries.
Yet online we see training to earn your “certified protection specialist credentials” advertised on various websites.
ESS Global - Executive Protection
You should be aware that no government agency is regulating these schools, training centers and trainers. So know this; No government agency regulates or monitors what is taught and who is teaching it. Thus, anybody off the street could be teaching you, and you could be paying for false, misleading, or inaccurate information. The “protection credentials” you are handed at the end of the training, is simply a piece of paper from the trainer and nothing more.
This is exactly where the ESS Global Executive Protection Training School differs. We are D.O.E licensed and our curriculum and instructors are all regulated and monitored by the D.O.E., and only a select few elite schools across the nation are D.O.E. approved and certified for executive protection training.

It all starts with our Executive Protection Training in Clearwater.

In addition to Executive Protection Training, ESS Global also has Advanced Executive Protection training courses covering;

Another Record for Background Checks

Posted on

Another month, and yet another record for background checks.

March 2016 was the 11th consecutive month of record background checks for retail gun sales in the U.S.

ESS Global Concealed Carry Classes in TampaThe background check streak that began in May 2015. Last May saw more background checks than any May on record. That continued with June 2015 setting the all-time record for every June, July for the month of July, August for the month of August, all the way up to and including March 2016.
According to the FBI, the number of background checks performed in March was 2,523,265. That beats the previous March record of 2,488,842, which was set two years ago in 2014.
This streak of consecutive record-breaking months includes December 2015, which not only broke the record for background checks in December but also broke the all-time monthly background checks record as well.
It is important to remember that background checks do not translate into an exact figure for the number of firearms sold because a background check is not performed on a specific firearm, but rather on a specific buyer. If the buyer fails the check, the purchase is denied. But, after passing the check, the buyer can purchase multiple guns if they so choose. This means the 2,523,265 checks performed in last month could easily translate into 5,046,530 guns sold in March, if everyone who passed a check bought just two firearms.
So while w don’t know the exact number of firearm purchased last month….
What we do know is that last month, the FBI had their busiest March ever.
Another record for background checksThe 11 month streak correlates with a surge in gun sales fueled by fears of mass shootings, terrorism, and the prospect of stricter firearm laws in the future.
With 7,682,141 checks done already this year, it’s a fairly safe bet that 2016 will break another annual sales record.
