If you are looking for concealed carry class in Tampa and the surrounding area, you should know that there are CWP Trainers, CWP Classes and CWP Schools. A “school” needs to be certified by the State (in this case Florida) Department of Education. That being said, the fact is that there is only one Protection School in Florida that is certified by the Florida Department of Education as a Protection School and that would be ESS Global Corp here in Tarpon Springs.

Situational Awareness and Psychological Profiling

OC Spray Training in Tampa

OC Aerosol Projector (OCAP) Mace Certification
This 2 hour end-user level certification program focuses on the deployment, handling and documentation of the use of OC (oleoresin capsicum) chemical aerosols.
This course will train the police officer or private security officer in the use of aerosols tactics and will help protect both the officer as well as their agency from costly litigation issues that could arise from the use of OC aerosol projectors.
This program addresses proper deployment techniques, situational requirements and situational appropriateness of various projectors, defensive and retention contamination drills, decontamination, proper use-of-force reporting and operational guidelines.

A pistol, or handgun, is a firearm designed to be fired while being held in one hand. While such firearms are small and compact, they can be the hardest to learn. That’s why every Pistol Owner should take the Firearms Safety & Basic Operations Training.
The Firearms Safety & Basic Operations course has intensive lessons in safety, gun handling, the various types of pistols, the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship, various pistol firing positions, several practical exercises, cleaning, storage, and a summary of pistol sports and activities.

Our Firearms Safety & Basic Operations Course is great for men and women that have little experience handling firearms. As a matter of fact, bring the whole family! Our class is taught by an NRA certified instructor. This class teaches you all about proper gun safety and the fundamentals of shooting.
This course is 8-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development.
This is an 8 hour course – 5 hours classroom and 3 hours range time.
This course is for novice and experienced firearms enthusiasts who own a handgun. It consists of five hours of classroom time, with up to a three hour live fire portion.
