This course is intended for those who wish to pursue a career in the growing Executive Protection / Bodyguard industry. Those of you who are already employed in this field but want to refine and enhance your skills are welcome to see what you may have missed in a prior training. Our instructors are hand selected based on their years of experience and knowledge of the Executive Protection / Bodyguard industry.  Everything taught in this course is based on our instructors’ firsthand knowledge and real life experiences from out in the field.
This state licensed course takes an in-depth look at what it takes to be successful as an Executive Protection Agent or Professional Bodyguard. It will cover the basics as well as provide a sound foundation for anybody that completes our course to immediately be able to go out into the work force in this growing industry.  Aside from learning what true Executive Protection is, you will also be taught what duties will be expected of you and how to perform them efficiently and to industry standards.

This course is divided into classroom and practical training. So it will not only have a classroom aspect to it, but there will be a practical side where the students will actually learn in a hands-on environment how to successfully perform all the skills being taught in the classroom.
This course embraces the skills needed for high profile client protection: political candidates, public figures, celebrity, and business clients. Many of these public figures use protection commensurate with their rank or status in society. The course will teach how to deploy transport, how to limit or control public access, and how to provide a level of protection that only trained professions are capable of conducting.
ESS Global Close ProtectionESS knows that predictive intelligence is a central core of protective operations. This course emphasizes the importance of being able to analyze and respond appropriately to apparent and real threats. It will teach how to predict the intention to make contact with your client. Finally, the course will offer intervention strategies that cover the spectrum of options from protective measures, to legal restraint.
 
All of our students, upon completion of the course, will walk away with a certificate of completion proving that they have successfully completed Executive Protection training. More importantly, however, they will have the knowledge and skill set necessary to enjoy a successful career in the Executive Protection industry.

Google “home break-ins from Facebook posts” and you’ll get about 11 million returns. TV reports, newspaper reports, personal blogs…it’s a long list. Because it happens all too frequently.
When you are ‘friends’ with people on Facebook that you are not actually really friends with, how do you know whether they have good intentions?
The problem lies in that if Tom posts that he is so excited to take the family to Disney World next week. Sally likes the post. I don’t know Tom. I’ve never met Tom. I’m not friends with Tom, but I know Sally from high school and we’ve been friends on Facebook for years. I see Tom’s post in my news feed because Sally liked it or commented on it. Now, I might know some of Tom’s things I can sell after I fill the back of my car late some night next week.
Or, you have great photos of your house with house numbers (hello Google maps), the yard, and the car in the driveway. Maybe you shouldn’t really be checking in from the concert you’re at or the bar across town.

They told a story about a woman who found this out the hard way after she posted a simple status message on Facebook that she was going to see a band with her fiancé. It only took the burglars calling the venue to find out what time the show was to let them know when they could break into her home. The burglars showed up 35 minutes after she left for the concert.

We are saddened by recent church violence events and our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased.
Over 420 people have died in incidents involving deadly force at churches and other faith organizations in America since 1999, as detailed by noted church security expert Carl Chinn and reported in a 2013 issue of SBC LIFE, the journal of the Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee. If you’ve followed the news the past two years, you know that number has risen dramatically.
The biggest trigger in church violence over the last 16 years is “Domestic Spillover”. This is when domestic relationship violence finds it’s way onto ministry property resulting in a deadly force incident. The second most common reason for church violence is “Random Acts” which describes the tragedy in Charleston, SC.
The SBC Life article recommended ways churches can protect themselves against violent intruders.

  • Perform a professional security analysis for activities throughout the week and at services.
  • Assess unmonitored entryways to the church on Sundays or during other activities including day care, Bible studies, and more where someone could enter and hide.
  • Consider hiring a security firm to provide armed security during all church events.

Carl Chinn also stated recently, “If you still have time to be on the security team after making sure your own house is in order, then you can look around your church to see if any friends or relatives of ‘Bozo Thug’ are around you.
