That’s 4 full days of training June 26-29 for a quick start in the fast growing security industry.
Note: Anyone may take the class to obtain the Class “D” license. However, F.S. 493.6109 outlines the guidelines that must be met in order to be eligible to obtain a “D” license.
Be at least 18 years of age.- Be of good moral character.
- Be a citizen or legal resident alien of the United States.
- May not have been adjudicated incapacitated under s. 744.331 or a similar statute in another state.
- May not have been involuntarily placed in a treatment facility for the mentally ill, unless judicially restored.
- May not have been diagnosed with an incapacitating mental illness, unless cleared by a psychiatrist.
- May not be a chronic or habitual user of alcoholic beverages to the extent the individual’s normal faculties are impaired.
- May not have been committed for controlled substance abuse.


This course takes a look at self defense and hand-to-hand tactics as it relates to Executive Protection, bodyguarding, law enforcement, Firemen, EMT, Paramedics and other first responders. Our instructors will breakdown various methods of defense in an effort to educate you on how you can better protect your client and yourself.
In this 6 hour course, you will be taught how to defend yourself (and protect your client) while you are either armed or unarmed. You will also be taught how to fend off attackers that are either armed or unarmed. And finally, most importantly, you will be taught how to administer proper body cover to your client during an attack and evacuate them quickly to safety.
“A number of programs teach the use of flashlights with firearms,” says ASP Founder and President Kevin Parsons, PhD. “ASP presents something very different. The techniques are for the other 98% of the time police officers use flashlights.”
Techniques work on the street, not just in the classroom

1. Chain or hinged handcuffs, cuff case and duty belt or cuff case and sturdy belt – Cuff cases must be securely-fastened to a rigid clothing belt or duty-style belt. Cases of the molded plastic or soft varieties are both acceptable. It is recommended that police officers and private security personnel bring and wear their entire duty belts to assist in creating a more realistic training scenario. (Please ensure that firearms are NOT introduced into the classroom or training room.)
